Hikers know the importance of comfort, you can’t enjoy your trail hiking experience taking in all of the breathtaking beauty which surrounds you if you’re chaffing in your googlies now can you? I know it’s quite fun to find a hiking buddy to rub it better, but realistically you’re better off making sure that you’ve got complete comfort in that department BEFORE you set off on your trail hiking adventures.

Mens Briefs & Boxers for Hiking

When it comes to talking briefs, men generally fall into two categories . . . those who like to feel the security of support . . . and those who prefer to hang a little loose for freedom of movement. Either way is available specially designed for hiking, although some of the support briefs do tend to go further down the leg than others. What’s really important about hiking boxers and briefs is;

  • comfortable fabric . . . . nylon and spandex mixes are popular
  • quick drying . . . wet briefs can cause chaffing
  • functional fly . . . okay, we won’t go any further with that one
  • elasticated waist for extra comfort
  • antimicrobial treatment for the control of odors

Womens briefs for Hiking

Women’s briefs for hiking are available in literally all shapes and sizes. Again, the fabric and comfort is of the utmost importance but whether you feel at home in bikini briefs, hipsters, low rise, high rise , hipsters, big “Bridget Jones” pants,

boy cut or thongs . . . make sure that you’re comfortable before you set off on your hiking adventure. It’s not easy to adjust your briefs once you’re all togged up in winter hiking gear complete with hiking pants, hiking jacket and fully loaded backpack. Ow, it feels like there’s something riding up by butt!

 You may mistakenly believe that this has got nothing to do with hiking whatsoever . . . how else do you think they got into such good shape. Watch out for ‘em on the hiking trails . . . . I know I am. I can think of a few appropriate trail names too!
