What’s Worn Under The Hikers Pants . . .
Nothing, everything’s working just fine thank you! Before we get started, any 10 year old boys who have just found this page (which is hopefully not restricted by parental controls) you can switch off now, you won’t find any frilly knickers or sexy lingerie here, we’re talking thermal undies and things to keep you warm on a cold nights camping! Anyway girls . . . . eyes right!
Right, now that’s sorted out, let’s talking “briefly” about hiking underwear . . . . I know, I get worse but “bare” with me! By the way, all 10 year old boys are welcome to stay and find out all about the joys of hiking and backpacking, just in case their parents haven’t introduced them to the wonders of it yet. Men’s Hiking Underwear – Briefs & Boxers
Hmmm, you see I’m not entirely convinced about the naming of some of these hiking briefs & boxers, well, be honest, Give-N-Go can conjure up all sorts of images in your mind can’t it. I know that they’re hailed as being some of the most comfortable underwear a hiker could possibly wear – blended nylon and spandex, moisture-wicking, quick-drying comfort and a functional fly, but even so . . . . Give-N-Go kind of rhymes with Gigolo as far as I’m concerned, and I haven’t come across too many hikers who have all that much energy left after a long day backpacking . . . not in my little hiking gang anyway.
Some men (hikers and non hikers alike) prefer their boxers to cling to their crotch, others prefer a little more “hang loose” approach, but one thing which you should bear in mind is that you don’t want anything riding up anywhere whilst you’re hiking do you. It’s not easy to discreetly adjust your underwear while you’re carrying a full sized back pack.
