Running The Trail In Comfort

Not content with hiking some of the beautiful trails available around the country, more and more fitness enthusiasts are rising to the challenge of running along the trails. Runners love to run, there’s no doubt about it, you can see them pounding the pavements on many an average morning at “early o’clock”, trying to get fit, enjoy a sense of freedom or maybe they’re just late for work!

Trail Running Shorts have been designed  to help runners whizz through a work-out with lightweight fabric and an important amount of stretch (often 4-way). If you are interested in doing a spot of trail running you might be interested to know just how much a pair of specially designed trail running shorts can help to make the whole adventure even more satisfying.

What Do Running Shorts Need

Running shorts need to be made from fabric which dries the moisture from your skin superfast. A pair of running shorts which has the added bonus of providing protection from the harmful effects of the sun are even more appealing. Elastic is always a good idea for a comfortable fit, drawcord waists are pretty popular in running shorts, and don’t forget about a little reflectivity – I know that you’re unlikely to be run over by a truck on the majority of hiking trails, but runners like to run everywhere, and increased visibility can drastically increase your safety, especially when you’re running early in the mornings or late evenings.

Okay boys, you mentioned the trail shoes but what about trail running shorts or at least trail pants . . . .
