Keeping You Snug
Fleece pants . . . just the name of them makes you feel all warm inside, especially if, like me, you’re sitting with a draught around your ankles and are just contemplating having to start wearing socks again . . . yes folks, it’s that time of year again and winter is definitely on the way. Anyway, fleece pants can keep you warm and snug whether you’re hiking, camping, walking the dog or just slobbing around on the sofa . . . they’re that comfortable. Don’t let the idea of fleece pants remind you of those dreadful shapeless things you had to wear for field hockey practice at school . . . you remember those days when the teachers would send you out in the ice and snow to get some exercise dressed only in a t-shirt and fleece pants (if you remembered to take them . . . shorts if not) whilst they stood in a shelter with a hot coffee in hand . . . winter hat, gloves, scarves, boots and that darned whistle . . . peep . . . run a bit faster if you’re cold! I am convinced that Phys Ed teachers need to have certain qualities which are not all that endearing . . . some might call them personality disorders!

Fleece hiking pants are a whole lot more stylish as well as completely practical for all outdoor winter activities (not sure about hockey). Some of them even have;
- fleece lining with breathable outer which blocks out the wind and is water and abrasion resistant
- fleece lining which provides thermal insulation, even when the outers of your pants are a little damp, as well as being quick drying
- internal drawstring for that perfect fit without bulkiness
- zip flies (that’s one thing we didn’t have the luxury of)
- pockets with zippers . . . very important features on all hiking and outdoor activity pants
- fully mobile knee sections for maximum mobility and a full range of motion
- ankle zippers and gusseted cuffs so that you can wear your fleece hiking pants with a variety of different hiking boot styles
- stretch fabric . . . well, fleece is stretchy isn’t it for added comfort

Great pants . . . this guy is in no danger of getting enthusiastic is he? Talk about monotone . . . like that, do it like that, then like this . . . blah blah blah! Ever heard of intonation Dude, no, it’s got nothing to do with fleece hiking pants!
PE teachers sure have a lot to answer for don’t they . . . thankfully I don’t remember him at my school!
